Heian Noshi平安熨斗( "Noshi" Decoration Wrapping )
"Noshi" decoration is the authentic form of gift wrapping in Japan. With a representative design of a ribbon, noshi is used for formal occassions including New Year's celebrations, weddings, and birth deliveries. YAMADA HEIANDO has filled this classical design with additional auspicious signs in "maki-e" techniques and in vivid colours.
Ninsei Ume Maki-e仁清梅蒔絵( Plum )
A plum has long been one of the favourite flowers of the Japanese, for its pink colour and sweet scent. It gives seemingly opposite images of innocence and strong fibre at the same time, both from how it flourishes during the winter.
Sen-men Maki-e扇面蒔絵( Hand Fan )
A hand fan is an implement that was first invented by the Japanese by combining beauty and utility. Although the original purpose was to induce a small airflow and refresh yourself with cool breeze, the Japanese has brought it up to the level of art by selecting ethereal pieces of paper or portraying elaborate designs.
